Please note to protect large and heavy items during transit your order may be palletised, however the delivery lorry will have a tail lift and delivery is to the kerb side/loading bay.

 

Order before 3pm for next day delivery or choose a convenient delivery day at checkout, up to 3 months in advance. We deliver Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays).

For standard deliveries couriers are contacted to deliver to the door and will not enter your property. 

All pallet deliveries are kerbside and the driver will not unload the goods from the pallet or take the pallet away.

If a large order that requires palletisation is placed after 12pm it may be subject to a 24 hour delay due to processing times.

Please ensure that you check the contents of your order upon delivery. Any missing or damaged items must be reported to sales@tufferman.co.uk within 7 days of the order being placed. Photos of any damaged items will be required.

 

Returns

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or faulty product, we will collect the item and either replace the item for you or refund you in full. In some cases, we may ask our customers to return the item to us but we will of course refund any extra postage costs to you.

Customers are welcome to return unwanted items to us within 28 working days, providing they are unused and in their original packaging. However please note that customers are responsible for the return costs of unwanted items

Shelving didn’t fit

The shelves are great but there were no instructions and the bottom shelves don’t fit. I have asked customer service to send me the right fit but they will not do so.

Very substantial but the paint coating on the lugs make it difficult to hammer in the horizontal pieces had to lever them out with a screwdriver

Not as easy as they would have you believe

The instructions would have you believe that all you have to do is tap the pieces together. In fact it’s virtually impossible to assemble without firstly using a screwdriver or chisel to open up the ‘wings’ of the connections. Even having succeeded, you then need to really hit the part really really hard to get it to slide into the keyhole. It’s not helped by the very feeble little mallet provided. In fact it’s fortunate you have to use a more substantial mallet, as the one provided is dangerous. The head flew off after only a few hits.

Having succeeded in assembling the shelving framework, it then became obvious that they’d sent the wrong chipboard shelves. It wasn’t helped by the lack of instructions.

It was easy to get through to Tufferman support. We identified the correct part and I was promised they would send instructions, but they never appeared. Having identified the correct replacement part, it took a number of phone calls, talking to different representatives before they got sent out. Then, having arranged to wait in for the delivery, I got a message letting me know that there was a 24 hour delay.

Eventually, I received the correct chipboard. Each shelf is made up of two pieces. They just sit loosely on the supports and just float around. I’m tempted to glue them together, but think that might cause problems if I ever want to replace them.

Anyway, the shelves will serve the purpose, but I’m not sure I would recommend them, given the effort required to assemble them.

Absolutely excellant

Have now ordered my second set of shelves. They are perfect. Customer service is also great, one of my packages was damaged in transit. After a week of not receiving all parts I made contact and the next morning the parts needed arrived. Very impressed! I will be purchasing more soon.
